TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bayern Munich secured the championship of the 2025/2026 Bundesliga season after defeating Stuttgart 4-2 on matchday 30 at Allianz Arena, Sunday, April 19, 2026. The additional three points made it impossible for Borussia Dortmund to catch up to Bayern in the second position.
Bayern now has 79 points from 30 matches, while Dortmund has only collected 64 points with four matches remaining. Mathematically, if Dortmund were to win all remaining matches, they would only reach 76 points. Meanwhile, Stuttgart is held in fourth place with 56 points.
Bayern was initially surprised by Stuttgart's goal in the 21st minute. As quoted from Antara, Chris Fhrich opened the scoring for the visiting team after capitalizing on a breakthrough pass from Bilal El Khannous and released a low shot that Jonas Urbig couldn't stop.
Die Roten quickly responded by equalizing in the 31st minute. Raphael Guerreiro scored a goal through a tap-in in front of the goal after receiving a cross from Jamal Musiala. The home team turned the game around two minutes later. A quick counterattack was finished by Nicolas Jackson, who converted a low pass from Luis Daz into a goal.
Bayern extended their lead in the 37th minute through Alphonso Davies' goal. The Canadian full-back's shot initially hit a Stuttgart player before deceiving Alexander Nbel and changing the score to 3-1 until halftime.
Entering the second half, Bayern added to their lead in the 52nd minute. Harry Kane, who came on as a substitute, scored a goal after taking advantage of the rebound from Nbel's save from Leon Goretzka's shot.
Stuttgart could only reduce the deficit in the 88th minute through Chema Andrs. The score remained 4-2 until the final whistle.
This title is the 35th Bundesliga trophy for Bayern, and the second under the leadership of coach Vincent Kompany. Bayern also still has the opportunity to add to their title haul this season in the DFB-Pokal and the Champions League.
