TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has opened an internship program for students of the odd semester of 2026/2027. Registration for this program is open starting from July 2, 2026.

The Director of Talent Management at BRIN, Ajeng Arum Sari, stated that the BRIN internship program is one of the strategic paths in preparing excellent human resources in the field of research and innovation. "Research talent begins with students. We hope that participants in the internship program have a passion for research and will become outstanding researchers who can make a mark on the world stage," Ajeng said as quoted from the BRIN page on Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Generally, this program is divided into two schemes. First, research and non-research internships for diploma 4 or undergraduate students with a duration of one semester or six months. Then, second, final project research internships intended for diploma 4, undergraduate, master's (S2), or doctoral (S3) students. The duration is adjusted to the research needs.

Specifically for the research and non-research internship program, registration is open from July 2 to 7, 2026 through the ELSA BRIN system. While for the final project research program, it is open throughout the year with selection processes every three months.

According to Ajeng, participants in the internship will receive guidance from BRIN researchers. They can also utilize various research facilities available at BRIN.
