Brittany Mahomes gushes over Taylor Swift's new album... after fans claimed song is about her Donald Trump controversy

Brittany Mahomes has heaped praise on her friend Taylor Swift's album 'The Life of a Showgirl' following its release on Friday. 

The pop star's 12th studio album has broken multiple streaming records, with fiance Travis Kelce referenced frequently throughout.

And the wife of his Chiefs teammate Patrick has offered a ringing endorsement of the project, as Brittany posted some kind words to her Instagram story on Monday.

Brittany posted what appeared to be a VIP gift package of the album, and captioned the picture: '@taylorswift has done it again! Truly one of the best to ever do it and keep doing it!'

The photo showed a vinyl of the album, two pieces of merchandise and a special letter from Swift herself.

'If you're reading this, you're someone who has shown love, someone I admire, and ultimately someone I'd want to celebrate with as we welcome 'The Life of a Showgirl' into the world,' the letter read.

'I hope you like these gifts and record!'

The praise from Brittany came after fans were convinced that Swift's new song 'CANCELLED!' was about the Chiefs WAG following her Donald Trump controversy .

Brittany has struck up a close friendship with the songstress since she began dating - and ultimately got engaged - to Kelce .

And listeners of the pop star's new album, believe that one track in particular is about her close friend.

In track 10, entitled 'CANCELLED!', Swift sings: 'Good thing I like my friends cancelled // I like them cloaked in Gucci and scandal.'

Swift also croons in the song: 'But one single drop, you're off the roster // Tone-deaf and hot, let's f***in' off her.'

The lyrics come just over a year after her friend Brittany came under fire for liking a social media post from Trump, who was then running for his second presidential term.

While it was unclear what Brittany was specifically agreeing with, as Trump's Instagram post outlined a slew of different GOP platforms, she faced tons of backlash afterwards.

There were also suggestions that she and Swift had fallen out, with the liberal singer seemingly on the other end of the political aisle (Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president last fall).

Brittany later doubled down on her approval of Trump's Instagram post by re-posting another post from preacher and author Shane Pruitt.

'Contrary to the tone of the world today…' the post began. 'You can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have differing views, and still be kind.' 

And she later hit back at her critics on her Instagram story, writing: 'I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,'

In reference to the Gucci part of Swift's lyrics, Brittany was also spotted wearing Gucci dresses at both the US Open and Wimbledon last year.

In the Track by Track version of the album on Amazon Music, Swift explains what 'CANCELLED!' is about - without mentioning any of her friends by name.

'The song 'CANCELLED!' is sort of about, you know, having had my own experiences with mass judgment and being at the center of many, you know, dramatic kind of scandalous moments in my career where people were all weighing in at once, or at least it felt like that,' she said.

'Having had those experiences, it makes me move through the world a little bit differently. And when other people go through it, you kind of find yourself thinking about how they're probably going to get smarter because of this. If they can get through it, if they can be tough enough, they can actually learn some things through this process.'

Other fans believe the song is about Blake Lively amid her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Nonetheless, Swift and Brittany have remained close friends as they recently celebrated the latter's birthday together.

The Chiefs lost to the Jaguars on Monday night as Mahomes threw a critical interception which was returned 99 yards for a touchdown.
