Bukalapak's First-Half Revenue Jumps 29% as Gaming Business Drives Growth

2 hours ago 9

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) recorded revenue of Rp1.6 trillion in the second quarter of 2026. By the end of the first semester of 2026, the company's revenue reached Rp4 trillion, a 29 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

"The company's contribution margin recorded Rp72 billion in the second quarter of 2026, and the contribution margin during the first semester of 2026 grew by 11 percent to Rp171 billion," said Director of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk, Victor Putra Lesmana, in a written statement on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

He stated that Bukalapak recorded an adjusted EBITDA of Rp6 billion in the second quarter of 2026. Cumulatively, the adjusted EBITDA in the first semester of 2026 reached Rp10 billion, improving by about Rp44 billion compared to the same period the previous year, which still recorded a negative adjusted EBITDA of Rp34 billion.

Amid economic uncertainty, Victor said that Bukalapak remains focused on operational discipline, increasing the quality of revenue, and sustainable business development across all segments.

He mentioned that the gaming segment continues to be the largest contributor to revenue. The revenue from this segment reached Rp1.39 trillion in the second quarter of 2026. Cumulatively, gaming revenue in the first semester of 2026 grew by 42 percent to Rp3.5 trillion, driven by international business development. This segment also recorded a positive adjusted EBITDA of Rp7 billion in the second quarter.

Revenue from Bukalapak's partner segment decreased to Rp152 billion in the second quarter of 2026 from Rp188 billion in the same period last year. Throughout the first semester of 2026, revenue from that segment decreased by 27 percent compared to the first semester of 2025.

Victor mentioned that the decrease was the result of a more selective strategy in choosing products to increase profitability. Nevertheless, the contribution margin of the partner segment increased by 48 percent to Rp29 billion, and the adjusted EBITDA turned positive to Rp8 billion from a negative Rp9 billion in the second quarter of the previous year.

The investment segment through BMoney also recorded growth. Revenue in the first semester of 2026 increased by 68 percent to Rp44 billion from Rp26 billion in the same period the previous year. The contribution margin increased by 62 percent to Rp15 billion, supported by the increase in assets under management (AUM) that has exceeded Rp6 trillion.

Meanwhile, the retail segment booked revenue of Rp60 billion in the second quarter of 2026. Throughout the first semester of 2026, revenue from this segment reached Rp139 billion, a 14 percent decrease compared to Rp162 billion in the first semester of 2025.

According to him, the decrease occurred as a result of the company's strategy to optimize product portfolios, manage inventory, and expand store networks more selectively.
