Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy revealed that he's working on becoming as good of a teammate as he possibly can.

Worthy has only played in two games after being injured in Kansas City's opening game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.

But he made his return last week against the Baltimore Ravens and is primed for a strong season ahead.

Speaking to The Rich Eisen Show, Worthy told the radio host about a personal discovery he made in therapy which is helping him to re-focus his mindset.

When the veteran sports broadcaster asked the second-year wideout about any planned personal goals he made, Worthy admitted that he's moved past doing those.

'I had talked to my therapist... writing down personal goals was kinda something that kinda just made me focus on not my teammates and not being a team player,' Worthy admitted.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy says he doesn't make personal goals anymore in order to focus on being a better teammate

Worthy returned from an injury he got in the season opener to play well against Baltimore

'I feel like my main goal this year is being the best teammate I can be and being the best person I can be.'

Asked to expand on that idea, Worthy said, 'I feel like just if I'm going out there to be the best player I can be and being the best teammate I can be, then everything that I want and I need that's gonna come to me is gonna happen.'

Worthy was also asked about the team's resurgence against Baltimore - which prevented the team from starting their season 1-3.

'I feel like there was no corner to be turned, I feel like we just needed to settle down and just get it going. It was never "what needed to be fixed", it was always just self-errors,' the wideout admitted.

The Ravens defense gave up 37 points to the Chiefs last Sunday - where quarterback Patrick Mahomes tossed for 270 yards and four touchdowns.

Worthy was the team's top receiver that game - hauling in five catches for 83 yards.
