College football superstar Carson Beck speaks out on Hanna Cavinder split for the first time

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck has finally opened up on his split from Hanna Cavinder, describing their breakup as a 'difficult' time in his life.

Beck, who is in his first season with the University of Miami after transferring from Georgia earlier this year, dated former Hurricanes women's basketball star Cavinder for just under a year before they parted on sour terms in early 2025.

Hanna first sparked breakup rumors when she wiped any trace of the college football player from her social-media accounts, before her twin sister Haley all but confirmed the split in a cryptic TikTok video shortly after.

Rumors had surfaced of Beck talking to other women on Snapchat during their relationship, before Cavinder was seen telling Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai in April that she broke up with him 'because of who he was'.

Now Carson has addressed the situation publicly for the very first time, stressing that some of the speculation over the breakdown of their relationship was false.

'You make mistakes as a person, but it sucks that you have to go through something like that with someone that you care about, and now it's all over the Internet,' Beck said about his ex-girlfriend in an interview with ESPN. 

'Half of what you see in the media is true. Half of what you see is not true. So, people pick their side of the story and run with it. The people that know the truth know the truth. But it's been difficult.'

According to the ESPN article, Beck and Cavinder have not spoken since going their separate ways in the spring.

Hanna was then seen discussing the breakup after running into Kai Trump at UFC 314 in Miami earlier this year.

The conversation from Kai's YouTube vlog was filled with insults about the former Georgia signal caller, who was accused of showing her up when out together.

'Does he have friends?' Kai, a Miami golf commit, asked the Cavinder Twins of Beck.

'No, nobody likes him,' Hanna said of her ex-boyfriend.

'I broke up with him and all this cheating s*** came out, I had no idea. I didn’t break up with him because he was cheating, I broke up with him because of who he was,' she continued.

'Can this go in the vlog,' someone off camera asked the Cavinder Twins about their shocking comments.

'Sure, might as well,' Hanna replied.

Beck had spent his entire college career with Georgia before he hit the transfer portal and moved to Miami this year, after a number of Bulldogs fans blamed him for a run of three straight defeats in 2024 and the program's misfortunes despite his 24-3 record as a starter.

In his first month with the Hurricanes, the 22-year-old has played like a serious Heisman Trophy candidate- completing 73 percent of his passes for nearly 1,000 yards through four games and four straight wins.
