England squad announcement LIVE: Thomas Tuchel faces BIG decision over in-form winger Jack Grealish, while Phil Foden pushes for return to the Three Lions set-up

Follow Daily Mail Sport's live blog as Thomas Tuchel names his Three Lions squad for the October international break.

Bellingham wins England Player of the Year?

Let's take a quick detour from the squad chat.

Well, I say it's a detour, but I do believe it is relevant. It's to do with Jude Bellingham... everyone loves a bit of Bellingham chat.

Now, there will of course be questions over whether Bellingham will return to the squad, but that's not what I am going to talk about.

The midfielder has just been named England Player of the Year.

I mean, I couldn't think of many worthier candidates when it comes to exploits for the Three Lions.

If it were based on club form, though, it would be a different story.

Has Grealish done enough?

Is this the day Jack Grealish returns to international football?

The winger has been back to his very best since joining Everton on loan. He is strutting those big calves again while in blue.

Honestly, the bloke has been brilliant this season.

Surely, he has had to have come into Thomas Tuchel's mind when he has thought about this squad. I'd be stunned if he wasn't even an option.

But then again, there are a lot of talented players in his position, so it is very possible he hasn't done enough to return to England just yet.

We will have to wait and see.

England's injury list

Thomas Tuchel may have a talented pool of players to choose from, but he does have some selection headaches due to injury.

Annoyingly for the German, there are a fair few players who are on the physio table right now.

Here is England's injury list:

  • Tino Livramento
  • Noni Madueke
  • Trent Alexander-Arnold
  • Cole Palmer
  • Levi Colwill
  • Jarrad Branthwaite
  • James Maddison
  • Dominic Solanke

Who do you want to see in the squad?

Thomas Tuchel has some big calls to make...

Does he include Jude Bellingham after his recovery from injury? Has Phil Foden done enough to earn a place?

What about Jack Grealish? Cole Palmer? Bukayo Saka?

I think you catch my drift. There are numerous players that Thomas Tuchel can choose from, despite the numerous injuries.

Personally, out of that list, I can't see Palmer being fit enough for selection, having missed the last couple of Chelsea games.

But anyway, who do you want to see selected?

Plan of action

I have just told you how today is going to go, but I'm going to be kind and inform you in a more structured way.

I know, I know, I'm such a kind soul, you don't have to praise me too much (unless you want to).

Here is the schedule for the day:

  • England squad announcement - 10am
  • Thomas Tuchel press conference - 11am

Who will Tuchel pick?

It's that time again.

Yep, it's not long until the dreaded international break. Scary, right? It's almost like the 'Sunday scaries' you get before work every week, but just the football version.

Premier League football will be parked for two weeks while England take on both Wales, in a friendly, and Latvia in a World Cup qualifier.

The games are not for another week, but today, manager Thomas Tuchel will announce his squad for those two games.

Will we see Jack Grealish recalled? Will Bukayo Saka return?

These are all questions that are set to be answered at 10pm, before a press conference at 11pm.

Sit tight with me until then, and I will try to make this fun.
