A bloodied Mark Sanchez has been captured being placed into an ambulance in fresh images after the Fox Sports analyst was stabbed in a violent alleyway altercation with a truck driver

The former NFL quarterback is facing six years in prison over the shocking incident in Indianapolis as well as a lawsuit, which was filed by the alleged victim, Perry Tole, on Monday afternoon.

In a photo from the scene, Sanchez, 38, is shown lying shirtless and wounded on a gurney as he received medical attention in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He appeared to be holding his head in his left hand, while the other clutched his bare torso. The retired signal caller also appeared to be favoring the right side of his body as he was loaded into the back of the ambulance.

He was rushed to hospital, where he was later arrested, after being stabbed in the chest during the altercation he's accused of instigating, according to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, in a separate video, Sanchez's alleged victim, Tole, can be seen being rolled out of the alleyway towards an ambulance.

His alleged victim, Perry Tole, 69, was also seen being rolled out of the alley on a gurney

The former NFL quarterback is accused of instigating the shocking brawl in Indianapolis

Although the 69-year-old delivery driver was able to sit up of his own power on the gurney, his face had been heavily bandaged.

Tole filed a lawsuit on Monday, suing Sanchez for assault/battery as well as his employer, Fox, for negligent hiring, retention and supervision. He is suing for compensatory and punitive damages.

Tole claims in his filing that he has suffered severe permanent disfigurement, loss of function, other physical injuries, emotional distress and other damages as a result of the altercation.

He also states that Sanchez appeared intoxicated and instigated the altercation on the night of the alleged attack.

The driver alleges that Fox 'knew or should have known' about Sanchez's 'unfitness as an employee, propensity for drinking and/or harmful conduct.'

Horrifying photos were released on Sunday revealing the extent of the grease truck driver's gruesome injuries. He could be seen lying in a hospital bed, covered in blood with a huge gash on his face and a brace around his neck.

The alleged victim was rolled out of the side alley next to Pronta Pizzeria and on to Washington Street which was swarming in police officers and emergency medical services personnel.

Sanchez, meanwhile, appeared to be receiving medical treatment outside Ten Hands Social Bar and Eatery, which is located a block down from the alley and next to Loughmiller's Pub where the former quarterback is said to have desperately sought help.

A maimed Sanchez is said to have pounded on the window of an Indianapolis pub and, rather confusingly, claimed to have been a shooting victim after being stabbed around 12:30am on Saturday.

'As I was closing, somebody was beating on the window, just a random person,' Loughmiller's Pub & Eatery bartender Scott Bennett told Fox59.com . 'I looked and saw that the person needed help and went outside and the person had blood on him, and he said that he'd been shot.

'Brought him inside and laid him down, and we called 911 and put towels over the injuries that he had.

'There was blood, definitely, it wasn't shooting out or anything like that, but there was definitely blood. Some from the chest and some from the abdomen and crotch region, there was blood on his pants. I was trying to talk to him a little bit, tried to get his name, couldn't really understand what he was saying. I didn't recognize him at all.'

Sanchez was arrested Sunday on charges of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.

But Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears filed additional charges against Sanchez after receiving an additional probable cause affidavit Monday morning.

The prosecutor, after seeing the extent of PT's injuries, has upgraded the charges to a Level 5 felony battery of causing serious injury, which could see Sanchez jailed for up to six years in convicted.

'With that additional information, we have added more serious charges against Mr. Sanchez,' Mears confirmed during a press briefing.

The alleyway where the incident is believed to have taken place is located down from the pub

Sanchez was reportedly stabbed in the chest during a dispute with Tole in a loading dock near Loughmiller's Pub & Eatery in downtown Indianapolis (pictured)

'At this point in time, we have filed a felony charge – a level-5 felony – of battery involving seriously bodily injury which contains a penalty of one to six years.'

Mears stressed the investigation remains in the early stages and that police still have a 'number of search warrants' outstanding are are 'tracking down additional information'.

'This is by no means the end of this investigation,' he continued, adding that additional charges in the case could be possible.

Based on hotel security footage and testimony from P.T., Sanchez is accused of drunkenly accosting the driver, who was trying to back his box truck into a hotel's loading dock. PT told police Sanchez pursued him, entered his vehicle and threatened him, causing the driver to pepper spray his pursuer, according to the affidavit.

Undeterred, Sanchez allegedly pursued the driver and continued to strike the man, who fell back into a dumpster and onto pallets strewn about on the ground.

PT then pulled out a knife and stabbed Sanchez several times in his chest in because, as the driver told police, he believed 'this guy is trying to kill me.'

Sanchez fled after being stabbed, according to the affidavit. Later, after a local bartender called 911, Sanchez was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

PT later told police Sanchez smelled of alcohol and slurred his speech.

Daily Mail has reached out to Sanchez's attorney for comment. The retired quarterback is due in court on Tuesday. However, his attorney has filed a motion to waive the pretrial hearing and enter a plea of not guilty.

The former New York Jets star was in Indianapolis to call Sunday's Raiders-Colts game, but was ultimately replaced by former Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn following the stabbing and arrest.

A network insider told the Daily Mail on Monday that the incident is expected to cost Sanchez his job.

The incident is being viewed as a 'career-ending event' for the 38-year-old NFL announcer, who has been on TV for the six years since he retired as a player.

Sanchez's firing is not imminent, but the source says the ex-quarterback's time at Fox is effectively over.

'He's already been told that he won't be on camera again, and we've made the moves to replace him,' the source told Daily Mail. 'As long as there are serious charges pending we really just can't have him on screen.

'He has not yet been officially fired, because that takes some legalities, but that's where this is going,' the source continued. 'He has a morals clause in his contract, like everyone else. This arrest violates that clause, and it's a terminable offense.

'I guarantee within the next couple days, a statement will say that Sanchez and Fox have decided to part ways. This is a career-ending event, especially while things haven't even gone to court yet.'

Daily Mail has reached out for comment to both Fox and Sanchez's attorney.
