McKinnon and Power separated in 2022 after nearly five years of marriage but have continued to co-parent their daughters, often appearing together at major family events and maintaining a respectful relationship focused on their children's wellbeing.

The pair married in 2017 in a widely publicised ceremony where McKinnon, who became a quadriplegic following a career-ending spinal injury in 2014, stood from his wheelchair to exchange vows with Power.

Following their separation, Power confirmed her relationship with Nelson in December 2023, sharing photos of the pair celebrating Christmas together in what was described as the 'hard launch' of the partnership.

Nelson has since become a constant presence in Power's life and a familiar figure to her daughters.

Wyatt's arrival marks a significant milestone for the couple and expands Power's family to four children under the age of seven.

McKinnon, who rebuilt his life through professional and media roles following his injury, has also entered a new relationship and remains in frequent contact with Power as they continue to share parenting duties.
