The grease truck driver who was allegedly attacked by former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez suffered a deep laceration to his face, graphic photographs reveal.
The victim, identified in court documents as only P.T., is seen in new pictures lying in a hospital bed, covered in blood with a huge gash on his face and a brace around his neck.
The truck driver was attacked early Saturday morning while running his route to collect kitchen grease from restaurants in downtown Indianapolis, the probable cause affidavit states.
He parked his box truck in a loading dock in an alley near Loughmiller's Pub & Eatery, but the location of the vehicle seemingly upset Sanchez, who then allegedly began to harass him.
The victim told police Sanchez pursued him, entered his vehicle and threatened him, causing P.T. to respond by pepper spraying him, according to the affidavit.
The pepper spray, however, had little deterrent, and the fight escalated with Sanchez allegedly seen throwing the victim against a dumpster.
P.T. then pulled out a knife and stabbed Sanchez several times in his chest in self-defense because he believed 'this guy is trying to kill me'.
Sanchez was rushed to hospital with serious injuries of his own and was later released, according to TMZ Sports. He has since been arrested on charges of battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication.

The trucker was cut during an altercation with ex-NFl star Mark Sanchez in Indianapolis early Saturday morning, suffering a laceration that went through his cheek and hit his tongue
Despite his brutal wounds, P.T.'s 'shocked' family told The New York Post on Sunday that he is doing 'ok'.
His wife also told WXIN that the trucker was cut during the altercation, with the laceration going through his cheek and hitting his tongue.
P.T. told investigators that Sanchez smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred, but a local bartender has told a different story.
Scott Bennett, who was closing up at Loughmiller's Pub & Eatery around the time of the alleged assault, claims he helped tend to the New York Jets star's wounds.
He told WXIN how Sanchez was covered in blood and 'beating on the window' outside of the closed bar.
Bennett helped him inside, called 911 and put towels over his injuries.
'There was definitely blood,' he told the TV station. 'Some from the chest and some from the abdomen and crotch region, there was blood on his pants.'
Bennett also claimed that he did not detect any signs of drinking or impairment at that time of the alleged assault.

Sanchez reportedly has very little recollection of the night, telling a police officer that 'all he could remember was grabbing for a window'.
He added that he didn't know who stabbed him or where the incident occurred.
Sanchez, who now works as a Fox TV analyst, was in Indianapolis to cover the Colts' game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Following his hospitalization and arrest, he was replaced in the booth by another ex-quarterback, former Notre Dame star Brady Quinn.
Sanchez is scheduled to appear in court for his initial hearing on Tuesday morning.
He has a $300 cash bond and no contact order. Public records indicate that Sanchez has posted bond.
Sanchez allegedly accosted P.T. in the loading dock near the bar and Westin Hotel, the probable cause affidavit states.
The dispute erupted after Sanchez allegedly approached the box truck and told P.T. that he was barred from standing in the dock, per the orders of the hotel manager.
Sanchez allegedly opened the driver's side door and accosted P.T.

As the confrontation escalated, P.T., who allegedly feared for his life, sprayed Sanchez in the face with pepper spray.
Sanchez reportedly continued to advance towards him, prompting P.T. to pull out a knife and strike him 'two or three times.'
Surveillance camera footage allegedly shows P.T. being thrown against a dumpster, the affidavit states, leaving him to believe he was in a 'life-or-death situation'.
P.T. claims a 'look of shock' came over Sanchez's face and he then 'took off'.
