LeBron James has fueled retirement speculation after sharing a cryptic post on social media.
The LA Lakers star is entering his 23rd season in the league and speculation remains that, at the end of the year, he could finally call an end to his illustrious career.
James will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2026 season, when he will be 41, leaving many to believe that it could be his final year in the league.
Those fears were only heightened on Monday after James shared a video onto his social media accounts which teased a major announcement.
The caption read: 'The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12pm EST. #TheSecondDecision'
It was a clear nod to the ESPN special - titled 'The Decision' - which James starred in back in 2010 to announce that he was leaving the Cavaliers for the Miami Heat.

The Lakers star posted about 'The Second Decision' - which he is set to reveal on Tuesday
With that in mind, many fans fear that the 'Second Decision' could be the LeBron's announcement that he will finally call time on his career.
In the hours that followed James' announcement, ticket prices for Lakers games went through the roof as fans speculated that it could be his final season.
According to ESPN, prior to James' post, the cheapest ticket for their game against the Utah Jazz on April 12th - their final game of the season - was priced at $82.
However, after his teaser, the cheapest single ticket was priced at $580, amid fears that it could be Lebron's final outing as a Laker - or in the NBA at all.
James has been with the Lakers since 2018, winning an NBA Championship in 2018.
The team has inserted his good friend JJ Redick as Los Angeles' head coach and drafted son Bronny James to the team last year.
James has held a contract at the NBA's maximum since 2014, with that figure likely coming to an end at the end of this season no matter what.
James may be trading out the hardwood for Hollywood after he retires from the NBA, as he has previously hinted at making the jump to acting.

Lakers fans were quick to voice their fears that James could be calling time on his career
James has previously hosted 'Saturday Night Live' and was the star in the movie 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' - which flopped compared to its iconic predecessor.
A full-time career in Hollywood would no doubt be lucrative for James, with interest from studios an unknown.
'If the scripts start to roll in and there's an opportunity for me to do some acting and I have the time... I don't mind looking at it and seeing if I can make it happen,' James said to the Hollywood Reporter.
Meanwhile, back in June, James admitted his days in the NBA are running out, as he appeared on stage alongside Tom Brady and Victor Wembanyama at Fanatics Fest.
When asked how much longer he had in the league, James chuckled and pointed at Brady. 'He played until he was 58!
'I don't know, man... I can't play that much further.' LeBron then gestured to Wembanyama and suggested the 7ft 3ins Frenchman might push him into retirement.
'The more and more time I play as long as he keeps smacking my f***ing shots into the stands, it's going to make me retire,' he said.
The NBA legend was egged on by former quarterback Brady, who shouted: 'You're still young!' Brady, who played in the NFL until he was 45, told James: 'You look so good out there!'
