Texans rookie Jaylin Noel scored his first NFL touchdown on Sunday - and later got a supportive message from his mom after a Ravens player tried to steal the ball out of his hands.

Noel's four-yard touchdown gave Houston a 31-point lead in their eventual 44-10 blowout win over Baltimore.

And while his score did little to effect the final outcome of the game, the third-round pick was understandably excited by his first touchdown and mocked the Ravens by doing Ray Lewis' 'squirrel dance.'

Baltimore's Jaire Alexander didn't take too kindly to that, however, and tried to rip Noel's first touchdown ball from his hands.

Noel stood his ground and held onto the ball - leading to a fiery response online from his mother.

'YESSSSS!!!! No way he was gonna get that ball outta Jaylin's hands!,' his mom Deirdre said on X in response to a clip of the moment.

The moment earned several supportive responses from Noel's mom, Deirdre, online

Deirdre made several other posts in support of her son, as she replied with laughing-crying emojis to someone writing: 'Imagine not being able to snatch a football or a win.'

She also posted a picture of Noel doing the 'too short' gesture during his college days, and captioned the picture: 'Just a reminder… get ya weight up and talk to him nice!'

Noel also posted a picture of the ball following the game, informing his fans: 'I do got the ball.'

The former Iowa State player finished the game with two catches for 13 yards, and the touchdown which caused the scuffle with Alexander.

Following the lopsided loss for the Ravens - who are now 1-4 with Lamar Jackson sidelined - Alexander explained why he took exception with the celebration.

'I didn't appreciate that while I was on the field,' he told reporters after the game.

'Then I [saw] him toss the ball to the ballboy and he tried to get it back. So it was just like, 'Naw, you ain't gettin' the ball back.' And they got mad.'

Texans coach DeMeco Ryans also expressed his shock at Noel's audacious celebration after the game.

'I was definitely surprised by it. Been on the offensive guys about making sure they have celebrations ready to get in the end zone,' he said.

Noel will hope to get in the end zone again when the Texans return from their Week 6 bye and face the Seahawks.
