NYT: Netanyahu, Lindsey Graham Allegedly Conspired to Weaken the ICC

3 hours ago 5

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and late U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham were reportedly secretly colluding to undermine the International Criminal Court (ICC) ahead of the 2024 U.S. election. This was revealed in a report by The New York Times on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, as cited by Anadolu.

Recordings obtained by British director Alex Holder revealed that Netanyahu sought bipartisan U.S. support from the Republican and Democratic Parties to protest the ICC's detention order against him.

The Israeli Zionist regime leader suggested that they capitalize on the alleged sexual harassment by ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan to "tarnish" the institution.

Earlier on Friday, July 24, 2026, ICC member states agreed to remove Karim Khan from his position over allegations of sexual harassment. Khan has continued to deny the allegations.

Lindsey Graham was reported to have partnered with Senators Richard Blumenthal and Ben Cardin from the Democratic Party for the effort. Graham then reported to Netanyahu that they had obtained the support of the senators.

"We got them both," Graham told Netanyahu.

Graham then privately asked Netanyahu to thank the Democratic Party senators. He also expressed a commitment to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia as an incentive for them to continue supporting him.

As a result, the bipartisan letter released on November 1, 2024, highlighted the allegations of sexual harassment against Karim Khan and accused the ICC of failing to comply with the law by canceling a meeting with Israeli officials before issuing the arrest warrant.

In the same month, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and former Israeli defense official Yoav Gallant over allegations of war crimes in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of over 73,000 people.
