Patrick Mahomes was only trying to be a supportive friend but his comments about Taylor Swift's new album might have made for uncomfortable reading if you're Travis Kelce.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback gave an interview to 96.5 The Fan, a sports show based in around the NFL team, on Thursday night.
Mahomes was asked about impending release 'The Life of a Showgirl' by his teammate Kelce's fiancee and as ever, the Chiefs man was throwing his full support behind Swift and insisted the full team would be, too.
'Yeah for sure, I'm super excited,' Mahomes said. 'I haven't been able to hear the album yet but I am super excited to be able to do.
'It will be blaring all through the Chiefs facility tomorrow. We will be supporting Taylor. She has put in so much hard work into this and I am excited to hear the album, just like everybody else.'
But if Mahomes had been given an early listen, he might not have said the record will be playing at Chiefs HQ given one song appears to be about Kelce's manhood.

But he did not know that Swift had written a raunchy song about his teammate's manhood
Swift, 35, has plenty of references throughout the record to her love for Kelce, with the couple engaged to be married.
But on the song 'Wood', Swift delivers some of the raunchiest lyrics of her career when she sings about the NFL star.
She croons about how she 'ain't gotta knock on wood' since she and her lover can 'make our own luck.'
'And baby, I'll admit I've been a little superstitious / The curse on me was broken by your magic wand / Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck.'
She continues, with a reference to Kelce's podcast: 'New Heights of manhood / I ain't gotta knock on wood,' she sings, before adding that 'Redwood tree / It ain't hard to see / His love was the key / That opened my thighs.'
Even at the beginning of the song, she not-so-subtly references her and the football player's bodies together.
'Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me / And opened my eyes.'
So with a big game to plan for on Monday for the Chiefs, where they face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida bidding the carve out a winning record for the first time in 2025, it might not be the motivational song the team needs to hear.

Furthermore, on a big weekend for Swift and Kelce, the Chiefs tight end celebrates his 36th birthday on Sunday.
It's unlikely, given both of their commitments, that they will be able to celebrate together on his big day.
Swift should be back in the United States by Sunday - she is currently in England on a press tour - but Kelce will be traveling with his Chiefs team on the day before their next game.
