New England Patriots linebacker Dre'Mont Jones has no love lost for his former team, the Seattle Seahawks, after falling in the first game of the NFL season.
Jones, who played for the Seahawks from 2023 to 2024, was responsible for taking down Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold with a sack that resulted in a hip injury.
The eight-year veteran out of Ohio State celebrated his hit on Instagram, with fans noticing his choice to tag an account with the username 'f***_the_seahawks' in the post.
'Year 8. First NFL sack of the season. Gotta win the close ones but we will next time #gopats,' the caption read.
The post showed a snap and a video of the hit as well as an image of Jones celebrating the tackle.
Darnold went down on just the fifth play of the game when Jones drove him to the ground with the sack.

Darnold was taken to a hospital for scans and his status for next week's game is unclear
In the tackle, the brunt of the force was taken by Darnold's right hip and leg and he landed awkwardly on his right knee.
Darnold initially waved off medical staff, but eventually went into the blue tent before going to the locker room and being ruled out of the game.
The quarterback was transported to Harborview Medical Center to undergo a CT scan. An MRI was conducted on Thursday. Team doctors are now reviewing the scans.
Seattle coach Mike Macdonald told reporters that the team 'can rule out a fracture' but said there are 'more tests to be done... We're still working through all that.'
A timeline has not been set for Darnold and it's unclear if he will be ready for Seattle's game against the Arizona Cardinals on September 20.
As for Jones, it's clear he still harbors ill-will to the franchise that signed him to a three-year deal in 2023 and then cut him before the deal concluded.
In his two years in Seattle, Jones put up 77 tackles and 8.5 sacks before bouncing to the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens before arriving in New England.
