TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has begun constructing apartments priced at Rp500-600 million per unit near Manggarai Station, Jakarta. These residential units are part of President Prabowo Subianto's 3 Million Houses Program.
The President Director of PT KAI (Persero), Bobby Rasyidin, stated that a total of 2,200 units are available. "The units available will be in types 45 and 52," he said during the project's inauguration on Manggarai VII Street, Jakarta, on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The project, managed by KAI Properti, offers type 45 units for Rp500 million, while type 52 units are priced at Rp600 million. The project consists of constructing eight towers. Block F will cover 15,014 square meters, and Block G will cover 6,925 square meters.
Block F will have 1,300 type 45 units and 250 type 52 units, while Block G will have 500 type 45 units and 150 type 52 units.
Bobby mentioned that the financing for these apartments comes from PT KAI, loans, and the Investment Management Agency Danantara Indonesia. However, he did not disclose the project's construction costs. "Then, our target is where we waive the land acquisition rights because this is KAI's land," he said.
The project is aimed to be completed by early 2027, with the keys handed over to the unit owners. The location's proximity to Manggarai Station is one of the strategic selling points for these units.
