Rob Gronkowski was ridiculed by NFL fans on Sunday as the Patriots legend struggled to pronounce the name of Bucs rookie Emeka Egbuka.

The first-year wideout had another stellar game for Tampa Bay as he went for 163 receiving yards and a touchdown in a 38-35 win over Seattle.

But Gronkowski slipped up when he attempted to praise Egbuka after the game.

'Baker Mayfield also did it without his No. 1 wide receiver, Mike Evans,' Gronkowski began on Fox NFL Sunday.

'And you gotta give credit to this rookie sensation wide receiver out of Ohio State Emeka "Egbigboo", going for over 100 yards.'

Gronkowski's mispronunciation quickly earned some laughs from his Fox colleagues before he corrected himself.

Egbuka was brilliant again for the Buccaneers as he tallied 163 receiving yards and a TD

But some fans online wouldn't him live down the mistake.

'Completely butchered his name,' one wrote on X with a slew of laughing-crying emojis.

'So close, Gronk! Try sounding it out!,' another teased.

'Tragic,' a third said.

And a fourth called the ex-tight end 'the most unserious man on earth.'

NFL fans have certainly been getting acquainted with Egbuka's name through five weeks of this season as he's made a massive impact for the Bucs.

With both Evans and Chris Godwin missing time for Tampa, Egbuka has already tallied 445 receiving yards - good for fourth in the league behind Pro Bowlers Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Justin Jefferson.

His five receiving touchdowns are also tied for second in the league, behind only Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Gronkowski, 36, called time on his legendary 11-year career following the 2021 season.

He won four Super Bowls and smashed several receiving records for tight ends as he became one of Tom Brady's favorite targets.

Gronkowski first joined Fox in 2019 following a first retirement from the NFL that year, and re-joined the network in 2022 after hanging up his cleats for good.
