A year on from his brother's firing in New York, Robert Saleh's brother took the chance to mock the Jets after their latest embarrassing defeat.

New York dropped to 0-5 on the season on Sunday after losing 37-22 to a banged-up Cowboys squad.

And after a fifth straight game of allowing at least 25 points, Saleh's brother, David, rubbed a bit of salt in the wounds of Jets fans and management.

'Last year the #Jets were 2-3 playing for first place in their division when @woodyjohnson4 declared that 'the best roster in franchise history needed a spark,' David wrote on X, tagging the Jets' owner, Woody Johnson.

'Since then the #Jetsdefense has gone from first to worst donning a record of 3-14.'

To David's point, his brother's Jets allowed just 17 points per contest through five games prior to his firing on October 8 of last year.

He's since resurfaced with the 49ers, as he returned to the team as their defensive coordinator

But the defense regressed under interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich, and Aaron Glenn - meant to be a defensive-minded hire - has overseen a leaky unit since taking over.

The Jets have allowed 31.4 points per game thus far, making them the second-worst scoring defense in the league behind the Ravens.

Saleh, meanwhile has returned to the 49ers as the team's defensive coordinator.

And the San Francisco defense has performed well thus far, allowing just 19.6 points per contest (tied for eighth-best in the league).

Saleh was seen barking at Jaguars coach Liam Coen last week after making some revealing comments about Jacksonville ahead of their matchup.

The coordinator surprised fans when he claimed that the Jaguars had a 'legal sign-stealing system'.

'Whatever nugget they can find, they catch it. There's nothing illegal about it,' Saleh said in a press conference.

Coen was seemingly angered by that revelation and he and Saleh had to be separated from each other following a 26-21 Jaguars win.

Saleh and the 49ers will face the Buccaneers next weekend, while the Jets will look for their first win of the season against the Broncos.
