CANTIKA.COM, Jakarta - The Netflix series Squid Game Season 3, also the final season, is confirmed to premiere on June 27, 2025. Approaching its release, today (6/5/2025) Netflix presented a teaser video that shows glimpses of tension at the peak of this popular series.
In the teaser released, the tension of the third season opens with the appearance of Gi Hun, player number 456, being brought in a pink ribboned black box, used to transport the bodies of fallen players. The box is taken to the players' resting place, and as the box arrives, they approach it with fear and curiosity. They are shocked to find out that the box contains Gi Hun.
Moving on to the next clip, the audience will see how the remaining players are taken to the beginning of a new game, when a giant gumball machine containing red and blue balls appears. The machine may become a symbol of fate that will determine the next challenge, and a full piggy bank is also shown, as if the game in this season is approaching the end.
In this final season, the previously seen players will still be present. They are The Front Man, detective Hwang Jun Ho, Myung Gi (Player 333), Dae Ho (Player 388), Hyun Ju (Player 120), Yong Sik (Player 007), Geum Ja (Player 149), Jun Hee (Player 222), Min Su (Player 125), Nam Gyu (Player 124), and pink guard No Eul. As tension escalates, the last moments echo with the mysterious cries of a baby.
Story of the Second Season
Approaching the arrival of Squid Game Season 3, the previous story of this series halted when Gi Hun and Jung Bae failed in their rebellion. Gi Hun then witnessed firsthand how Jung Bae was killed by the Front Man. The incident undoubtedly left deep sorrow and became a turning point for Gi Hun.
Amid Gi Hun's rebellion efforts, the Front Man disguised as player 001 attempted to infiltrate and find out Gi Hun's plan and ultimately committed betrayal, to ensure the continuation of the Squid Game until the end.
