On the day when fiancee Taylor Swift released her critically-acclaimed 12th studio album, Travis Kelce was dealt a brutal blow by the Golden Globes.

The institution confirmed there will be an inaugural Best Podcast award at the 83rd Golden Globes ceremony - with the likes of Joe Rogan and Theo Von nominated.

However, despite an impressive list of guests in recent months, Kelce's podcast 'New Heights' - which he hosts with brother Jason - did not make the cut.

Most notably, Kelce's fiancee Swift made her first ever podcast appearance when she joined the brothers at the start of August to announce her brand new album.

The full-length episode reached over 23 million views on YouTube, with several clips from the podcast going viral on other social media platforms in the days that followed.

Meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio also paid the Kelce brothers a visit last week - with that episode nearly reaching one million views on YouTube.

Travis Kelce was dealt a brutal blow on the same day Taylor Swift released her 12th album

The 'New Heights' podcast, hosted by Kelce brothers Travis and Jason, was snubbed of a nomination for the Golden Globes' inaugural podcast award

And, in between DiCaprio and Swift's appearances on the podcast, talk show host Jimmy Fallon also hopped on 'New Heights'.

Despite all the impressive names, the Kelce brothers were snubbed of a nomination.

The list was of nominees was elected by the Globes data partner, Luminate, 'the entertainment industry’s leading authority on audio analytics and insights'.

Along with the likes of Rogan and Von, other nominees included; 'Call Her Daddy', 'Pardon My Take', 'The Ben Shapiro Show' and 'The Tucker Carlson Show'.

While Kelce was snubbed on Thursday, his fiancee Swift dropped The Life of a Showgirl and sent the internet into a frenzy as they delved into her 12th studio album.

And fans were quick to notice multiple references to Swift's love story with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce, who proposed to the songstress in August.

Possibly the most glaring reference to the three-time Super Bowl winner and the A-List couple's engagement came in the ninth track of the album, titled 'Wood'.

'Girls, I don't need to catch the bouquet, mm / To know a hard rock is on the way,' Swift croons in the second verse of the tune.

Swift, meanwhile, dropped her already critically acclaimed pop album on October 3

'New Heights of manhood / I ain't gotta knock on wood,' she sings in one of the many songs dedicated to her fiancé in her new album

The hitmaker penned the lyrics to the song, in collaboration with music producers Max Martin and Shellback, before her NFL beau got down on one knee.

But she correctly predicted that a 'hard rock' would be coming her way - in the form of an elongated Old Mine diamond to be precise.

Then in the pre-chorus for the song, the 14-time Grammy Award winner sings: 'Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck / New heights (New heights), manhood (Manhood) / I ain't got to knock on wood.'

It's a clear nod to the 'New Heights' podcast. Maybe the Golden Globes should take note.
