TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Ministry of Finance is weighing the possibility of disbursing another round of wage subsidy aid (BSU) in the third and fourth quarters of this year. The continuation of the program is seen as effective in supporting people’s purchasing power.
The BSU was previously distributed in June and July 2025, with eligible recipients receiving Rp300,000 per month for two months. The aid was paid out in a lump sum of Rp600,000.
"It seems that the BSU will continue because we assess its implementation as effective. It will continue in Quarters III and IV," said Riznaldi Akbar, Policy Analyst at the Directorate General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy of the Ministry of Finance, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, as quoted by Antara.
However, the government has yet to confirm the exact disbursement schedule. The Ministry of Finance is still finalizing the mechanism for distribution.
The Director-General for Industrial Relations and Social Security Development at the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, stressed that the continuation of the program ultimately depends on the Ministry of Finance. She explained that her ministry only acts as the implementing body.
"Its budget depends on the decision of the Ministry of Finance," Indah said when contacted on Friday, October 3, 2025.
How to Check BSU Recipient Status
Recipients can check their eligibility through several official channels provided by the Ministry of Manpower, the Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan), and partner applications such as JMO and Pospay.
Through the Ministry of Manpower BSU Website
Go to bsu.kemnaker.go.id.
Select Penerima BSU Cek NIK or open the burger menu and choose Cek NIK.
Enter your NIK and the captcha code.
Click Cek Status.
Through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Website
Enter NIK, full name, date of birth, mother’s name, registered mobile number, and email.
Click Lanjutkan.
Through the JMO Application
Download JMO on Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).
Register using personal details (NIK, full name, date of birth, mother’s name, email, mobile number).
Select Cek Status BSU or Cek Eligibilitas BSU.
Fill in additional data such as NIK and mother’s name, then click Continue.
Through the Pospay Application
Download Pospay from Google Play Store or App Store.
On the login page, tap the "i" icon, then select Bantuan Sosial.
Choose BSU 2025 and enter your NIK to check eligibility.
If registered, upload a photo of your e-ID and complete the form.
Eligible recipients will receive a QR code to verify and collect BSU at the nearest post office.
With these channels, potential recipients can easily check their eligibility and track the status of BSU distribution. The scheme ensures that assistance remains transparent and accessible for all those entitled to the aid.
