TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s national football coach, Patrick Kluivert, has officially announced the final 23-man roster for the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Saudi Arabia.
The match is scheduled to take place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 12:15 AM WIB (Western Indonesia Time).
Striker Ole Romeny, who previously missed out due to injury, has returned to the main squad. Of the 26 players brought to Saudi Arabia, Kluivert has excluded six names: Calvin Verdonk, Nathan Tjoe-A-On, Jordi Amat, Reza Arya, Egy Maulana Vikri, and Ramadhan Sananta.
National Team Manager Sumardji had earlier confirmed that Verdonk would be unavailable for the upcoming match.
In the goalkeeper lineup, Reza Arya, who was previously part of the call-up, was dropped from the matchday list.
The three goalkeepers now available are Maarten Paes, Nadeo Argawinata, and Ernando Ari Sutaryadi.
In defense, the absence of Verdonk, Nathan, and Jordi means Kluivert will depend on a combination of Kevin Diks, Rizky Ridho, Jay Idzes, Justin Hubner, and Sandy Walsh.
On the attacking front, Ole Romeny will compete for a starting spot alongside Milliano Jonathans, Mauro Zijlstra, and Ragnar Oratmangoen.
Indonesia will play two Group B matches in this qualifying round. The first will be against Saudi Arabia, followed by a clash with Iraq on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 02:30 AM WIB.
Only the group winners will advance directly to the final round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, while the runners-up will proceed to the fifth round to fight for an intercontinental playoff spot.
