TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia has implemented changes to non-tax state revenue (PNBP) rates through Government Regulation No. 30 of 2026. Minister of Law, Supratman Andi Agtas, announced that the registration of song copyrights is currently free of charge, or Rp0.
"The regulation is effective from August 1, 2026," said Supratman during the eighth episode of the "Pasti Ada Solusi" (There Must Be a Solution) program at his office, as quoted from the Kemenkum (Law Ministry) YouTube channel, on Friday, July 24, 2026.
The application scheme for the registration of creations or related rights products has been modified in the annex of Government Regulation No. 30 of 2026, issued on July 2, 2026.
Initially, the scheme used a flat rate of Rp200,000 for each application. However, in the latest regulation, the procedure consists of two layers. The application for the registration of song or music creations and related rights products is free of charge, while others are still subject to the Rp200,000 fee.
The enactment of Government Regulation No. 30 of 2026 has amended the previous Government Regulation No. 45 of 2024. In addition to copyright applications, the latest government regulation regulates several other changes.
For example, the fee for filing a trademark registration application has increased from Rp1.8 million to Rp2.8 million. Meanwhile, the registration fee for Micro Enterprises, Small Businesses, educational institutions, and government research and development institutions remains at Rp500,000 per class.
PNBP rates continue to apply to the registration of trade secret license agreements. The fee is Rp250,000 for the public and Rp150,000 for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), as well as government research and development institutions and educational institutions. The same applies to the patent application fees, Rp350,000 for MSMEs, educational institutions, and government research and development institutions, and Rp1.25 million for the public.
