TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A survey institution, Indonesian Political Indicator, stated that it has never released the survey results in July 2026. The Indicator stated that the document circulating on social media under its name is not an official publication.
The Director of the Indonesian Political Indicator, Fauny Hidayat, said that he had received various questions about the survey document, which included the electability results and approval ratings. He emphasized that the Indicator did not release it.
"The Indonesian Political Indicator has never released or published the national survey results conducted in July 2026," Fauny said when contacted by Tempo on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
"Officially, the data and survey findings by INDICATOR are always published through the official website or portal www.indikator.co.id and the Indonesian Political Indicator's social media network," Fauny stated.
Despite affirming that the July 2026 survey results were never released, Fauny did not explain as to whether the Indicator had conducted the survey.
The questioned document is titled "National Survey Report on the Economic, Social, Political, and Government Conditions," under the name of the Indonesian Political Indicator. It is dated July 14-24, 2026.
It comprises 240 pages containing various survey results, ranging from assessments of President Prabowo Subianto's government performance to the electability map ahead of the 2029 Presidential Election.
Additionally, the document features several names that are likely to be added to the list of candidates. The Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, is mentioned to have higher electability than Prabowo.
The report also discusses various other topics, including the impact of conflicts in the Middle East on Indonesia's economy, evaluations of the free nutritious meal program (MBG) and the Red and White Village/Neighborhood Cooperatives (KDMP), and the potential political implications of former President Joko Widodo joining a political party.
