TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Israeli forces killed at least seven Palestinians, including two children, and injured others in an attack on Gaza on Saturday, October 4, 2025. According to a report by Anadolu, they ignored the U.S. President Donald Trump's urging for Israel to stop the attacks.

As reported by Al Jazeera, Israeli forces launched a drone strike on a tent in al-Mawasi, southern Gaza. The attack killed two children and injured several people, according to a source at Nasser Medical Complex.

These deaths are the first confirmed casualties in Gaza since President Trump instructed Israel to "immediately" halt the bombings in the region after Hamas responded positively to the peace plan.

Al-Mawasi was designated as a "humanitarian zone" by Israel.

Previously, Trump urged Israel to immediately stop bombing Gaza after the Hamas resistance group agreed to release Israeli hostages as proposed.

"It was a very violent night, during which the (Israeli army) carried out dozens of air strikes and artillery shelling on Gaza City and other areas in the Strip, despite President Trump's call to halt the bombing," said Gaza Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal.

Basal stated that 20 houses were destroyed in the bombings the previous night.

Gaza City's Baptist Hospital stated that they received victims from an attack on a house in the Tuffah neighborhood, including four fatalities and several others wounded.

Trump also said he believed the group was "ready for eternal peace."

Medical sources and eyewitnesses said that despite Trump's urging, Israeli forces still attacked two houses in Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing seven people and injuring several others.

Israeli forces' air and ground attacks also continued throughout Gaza City and Khan Younis in the southern region.

They also conducted intensive destruction with drones and explosives targeting residential buildings in various areas of Gaza throughout the night.

Since October 2023, Israel has killed nearly 66,300 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom were women and children.

The UN and human rights groups have repeatedly warned that the Palestinian enclave has become uninhabitable, where hunger and disease are spreading rapidly.
