TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Indonesia after completing a series of foreign visits, including attending the Board of Peace and holding bilateral meetings with U.S. President Donald Trump and United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ).
According to a broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta, as quoted by Antara, the Garuda Indonesia presidential plane, PK-GIF, carrying President Prabowo, landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Friday at around 8:00 AM WIB (UTC+7).
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming welcomed the President, along with several high-ranking state officials, including Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoedin, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit, and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.
The president, wearing a light brown safari uniform and a black cap, chatted with high-ranking state officials who welcomed him home around the airport apron.
From February 19-21, 2026, President Prabowo visited the U.S. and attended the inaugural Board of Peace Summit in Washington, D.C. During the meeting, Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to peace in Palestine.
He said that he had studied President Trump's twenty-point plan for the BoP and believed that it could lead to peace in Palestine. Afterwards, President Prabowo immediately held a bilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. The two leaders discussed the long-negotiated reciprocal tariff agreement.
As a result, the two heads of state signed an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART), which benefits both countries. Under the agreement, Indonesia will receive a 0 percent tariff on 1,819 of its products in the U.S. market. These products include leading commodities such as palm oil, coffee, cocoa, and electronic components.
On Monday, February 23, President Prabowo attended the signing of a framework agreement between the Indonesian Investment Management Agency, Danantara, and Arm Limited in London, England.
Arm controls approximately 96 percent of the global automotive sector's chip technology and nearly 94 percent of data center and AI chip designs. Through this collaboration, Indonesia hopes to accelerate its mastery of the strategic technologies that have long formed the foundation of various modern digital innovations.
On Wednesday, February 25, President Prabowo arrived at Marka Military Airport in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. There, he held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II to discuss peace in Palestine, Indonesia's participation in the BoP, and incidents in the West Bank. The two leaders also discussed additional steps to maintain peace and promote regional stability.
Due to its strategic location as an entry point for humanitarian aid via land, sea, and air, Jordan plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective distribution of aid and supporting de-escalation.
On Thursday, February 26, President Prabowo visited the UAE. He was welcomed by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ). The meeting was part of President Prabowo's working visit to strengthen Indonesia's rapidly growing strategic partnership with the UAE.
President Prabowo was accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono; Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia; Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya; Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Judha Nugraha; and PT Pindad (Persero) President Director Sigit P. Santosa.
The dialogue continued during an expanded meeting where a number of strategic agendas were discussed, ranging from strengthening energy cooperation and investment to establishing future economic partnerships. This meeting reaffirmed both countries' commitment to deepening their mutually beneficial, long-term collaboration.
