TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate several high-ranking state officials, ranging from heads of agencies to ambassadors, at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Several public figures have arrived at the Palace since 1:00 p.m., with the women dressed in kebaya traditional attire and black suits with blue ties for the men.
One of the early arrivals was Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk. Ribka mentioned that she was informed by the Cabinet Secretary, Teddy Indra Wijaya, on Tuesday afternoon, October 7, to attend the inauguration today.
"(Will be inaugurated as) heads of agency. The Executive Committee for the Acceleration of Papua Development," said Ribka upon arriving at the Presidential Palace.
Ribka arrived with her husband at 12:55 p.m., but she stopped short of detailing the full event until President Prabowo read his decree.
According to Ribka, speeding up Papua's development is necessary. Her committee, she said, will focus on education, health, and economic growth.
"The committee will coordinate with the local government in Papua," she said.
Prabowo will also inaugurate Farid Azhar Nasution today, as the deputy chair of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Farid arrived alongside Anggito Abimanyu, who will serve as LPS chair, replacing Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. who currently serves as the Minister of Finance. "Indeed (serving alongside Anggito)," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andy Rachmianto, was also seen donning a suit with a sky blue tie. He will be inaugurated as the Indonesian Ambassador to Belgium. "The President told me the Indonesian Ambassador in Belgium would be the school chair of the ambassadors in Europe," said Andy when asked about the President's directive.
Papua Governor Elect Mathius Derek Fakhiri also arrived in a white ceremonial uniform with his family. He arrived simultaneously with the Papua Vice Governor Elect, Aryoko Rumaropen.
In addition to the aforementioned figures, several Red and White Cabinet Ministers were present. These include Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, and Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
