TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has escalated in the Black Sea region and its coastal areas, authorities said on Monday, August 3.
Ukrainian drones attacked several Russian resort towns on the Black Sea coast, while Russia attacked Ukrainian ships carrying military supplies.
According to the regional emergency response center, citing ANTARA, seven people were killed, including three children, and at least 40 others were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Arkhipo-Osipovka, a Black Sea resort village in Russia's Krasnodar region, on Monday.
Russian Health Minister Assistant Alexei Kuznetsov said 21 people were hospitalized. He explained that nine victims, including three children, were in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday that its drones attacked four bulk carriers carrying military supplies supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces' military operations.
The Russian Defense Ministry said two bulk cargo ships unloading military supplies were targeted in the Port of Mykolaiv, a river port located on the Southern Bug River, about 65 km inland from the Black Sea.
Two other cargo ships carrying military materials were attacked in the Black Sea.
