TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Madya Stadium, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Central Jakarta, began to be filled with spectators ahead of the Linkin Park concert, Sunday night, February 16, 2025. The concert, which started at 20:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), was part of the From Zero World Tour, which has been running since January 31, 2025.

Linkin Park Concert Tickets Not Yet Sold Out

Tempo's monitoring until 18:36 WIB, thousands of fans of the band led by Mike Shinoda were seen filling the stadium area. Despite the high enthusiasm, tickets for the Linkin Park concert in Jakarta were not yet sold out. Until 19:02 WIB, tickets were still being sold and spectators could buy them on the official platform tiket.com. Some categories that are still on sale include:

Green: Rp2,842,000
Pink: Rp3,306,000
Yellow: Rp4,060,000
Blue B: Rp4,350,000

The price does not include 10 percent government tax, 6 percent platform fee, and other additional fees. Audiences who buy official tickets are required to exchange wristbands before entering the concert area. The exchange is not done at the concert location, but at Lagoon Garden Hall, The Sultan Hotel, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

Cheaper and More Practical, Scalpers Becomes an Option

Instead of buying tickets on the official platform, a number of audiences choose to get tickets from scalpers. The reason is, the price is cheaper and more practical without having to exchange wristbands at a separate location. Rizky, a Masters student from Depok for example, bought a Pink category ticket from a scalper around GBK for Rp2 million. This price is cheaper than on the official platform, tiket.com, which as of 19:02 WIB listed the Pink category price at Rp3,306,000.

"Almost half the price cheaper, so just take it. I also bought it on the spur of the moment, so I didn't have time to order online," said Rizky when met in the area around the stadium. Similarly, Adi, 30, a self-employed person from Jakarta also chose to buy Pink category tickets from ticket scalpers. He admitted that he was not worried about the authenticity of the tickets. "I bought Pink tickets from scalpers around GBK for Rp2 million, even though online the price was more than Rp3.3 million. Much cheaper," he said. "I just believe it because people around also buy from the same ticket scalpers," he added.

Meanwhile, Vera, 25, a private employee from Bogor bought a Green category ticket from a scalper for Rp1.5 million. In fact, on tiket.com this category is sold for Rp2,842,000. He said he preferred this option because of practicality. "I watched it on the spur of the moment, I just decided to buy it this afternoon. If I went through the official ticket, I would have to exchange my wristband first at the Sultan Hotel. It's far and complicated. This time, I just pay and go in," he said. Vera realized that there was a risk of ticket problems if you bought from a scalper, but so far he said he had not experienced any problems.

Although they were looking for a cheaper price, they agreed that the official ticket price offered was actually still within reasonable limits for a legendary band like Linkin Park. "Compared to concerts by other international artists, the price is still standard. This is Linkin Park, a big band, so it's reasonable," Vera said.

Adi added that the price on the official platform might seem expensive to some people, but it was still comparable to the experience offered. "If you think about it, Rp3 million to watch a band whose songs accompanied my childhood and adolescence, yes it is worth it," he said. Although cheaper, the practice of buying and selling tickets through ticket scalpers is still risky, including the possibility of fake or invalid tickets when entering the venue.

Linkin Park's concert in Jakarta is one of the most anticipated music shows this year. The city is on the list of 59 concerts in the From Zero World Tour. After starting the tour in Mexico City on January 31, 2025, the band has performed in several cities, including Tokyo on February 11 and 12, 2025. Jakarta is the sixth destination on their schedule before continuing to the next country. The tour will end in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on November 15, 2025.
