TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian government has prepared six incentive packages to boost economic growth, as confirmed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto. The incentives will be launched on June 5, 2025.

According to the minister, the incentives are intended to boost citizens' purchasing power. "The incentives are related to transportation and food assistance," he said when met at the ministry office, as quoted on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

On Friday, May 23, 2025, Airlangga invited several ministries to discuss the program's implementation. According to him, each ministry is currently preparing its regulations.

The former Minister of Industry for the 2016-2019 period has also reported the incentive plan to President Prabowo Subianto. "This will hopefully be announced toon when regulations drafted by each ministry are completed," he said.

Minister Airlangga also explained the six incentive packages, with the first being transportation discounts. This includes train tickets, airfares, and sea transport fares during the school holiday period.

Second, the government will provide toll fee reductions targeting around 110 million drivers and valid in June-July 2025. The third is a 50 percent electricity tariff discount during June and July 2025, targeting 79.3 million households with electricity consumption below 1,300 VA.

"Also related to stronger social assistance," said Airlangga.

The government will also boost the allocation of social assistance in the form of food aid cards and food assistance with a target of 18.3 million eligible households for June-July 2025.

The fifth incentive is in the form of Wage Subsidies (BSU) for workers with salaries below Rp3.5 million or the Regional Minimum Wage (UMP), as well as contract teachers. The sixth stimulus, the government extends the accident insurance premium discount program (JKK) for workers in labor-intensive sectors.
