TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, directly reviewed the readiness of the May Day commemoration at Lapangan Silang Monas, Central Jakarta. Sigit assured that the security for the May Day 2025 commemoration has been conducted comprehensively, from sterilization to traffic regulation.
"We see that many people are arriving, but of course, together with all the other relevant parties involved in security, we will ensure the safety from the departure process until their return," said Sigit as quoted from the official statement on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
He mentioned that the officers have prepared several traffic engineering measures to prevent congestion. These measures are applied from both the eastern and Tangerang areas. He also requested his staff to inform the public about these traffic engineering measures.
"So that the public who will be using the roads, especially Sudirman-Thamrin, can still be used for public activities because we have arranged the routes from the Tomang area," he said.
In addition, Sigit also ensured that parking areas have been prepared for the May Day participants, whose numbers are predicted to be quite large. Sigit stated that the parking areas are available around the National Monument and in Kemayoran.
"We hope that this May Day fiesta activity, especially if it will be attended directly by the president, can truly provide surprises or gifts that may be good news for workers," he said.

- MH Thamrin Street
- Tomang
- Harmoni
- Rawamangun
- Senen
- Tugu Tani
- Parliamentary (DPR/MPR) Building Area
