TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 10 figures as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of Indonesia to friendly countries at the State Palace on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Those appointed included the Indonesian ambassadors to Malaysia and Belgium. In addition, Prabowo also appointed a deputy ambassador to the Indonesian embassy in Beijing, China.
The inauguration is based on Presidential Decree Number 112/P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors and Presidential Decree Number 113/P of 2025 concerning the Assignment of Deputy Ambassadors of Indonesia. The inauguration ceremony for ambassadors and deputy ambassadors began with the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya.
After the Presidential Decree and the list of officials to be inaugurated were read, President Prabowo led the oath-taking process, followed by the newly inaugurated officials.
"That I will be faithful to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as carry out all the laws and regulations with all my dedication for the nation and the state," said the President, followed by the officials, as reported by Antara.
The names of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Indonesia and Deputy Ambassadors inaugurated by President Prabowo are Lukman Hakim Siregar as Indonesian Ambassador to the Arab Syria. Others include Hotmangaradja Panjaitan as Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Laurentius Amrih Jinangkung as Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands, Adam Mulawarman Tugio as Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam, and Andy Rachmianto as Indonesian Ambassador to Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as well as to the European Union.
Additionally, there are Kuncoro Giri Waseso as Indonesian Ambassador to Arab Egypt, Berlian Helmy as Indonesian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Raden Dato Mohammad Iman Hascsrya as Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Listyowati as Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh and Nepal, and Syahda Guruh Langkah Samudera as Ambassador to Qatar. Prabowo also inaugurated Irene as Deputy Indonesian Ambassador to Beijing, China.
Several state officials present included the Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, House Speaker Puan Maharani, Deputy House Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Chair of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
Also, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Transmigration Minister Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara, Foreign Minister Sugiono, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Jaksa Agung ST Burhanuddin, Minister of Public Works, Doddy Hanggodo, and Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Agus Subiyanto.
