TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has urged Minister of Investment and CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani to regularly conduct outreach abroad. This directive was given during a discussion following the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2026 on Friday, February 13, 2026.
According to Rosan, many positive government policies need to be disseminated to various stakeholders abroad. "Of course, to external parties, including rating agencies and others. Therefore, the President has also instructed us to be more active in reaching out to them," Rosan said at Wisma Danantara, as quoted on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Rosan stated that the government will form a special team to carry out this mission. It will consist of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), and the Ministry of Finance. "We also hold regular roadshows, not only to rating agencies, but also to other stakeholders outside Indonesia," he said.
Rosan said this outreach was conducted to convey that Indonesia continues to implement policy and regulatory reforms, particularly to improve the investment climate in Indonesia.
Previously, a series of Indonesian policies were under scrutiny and triggered warnings from several foreign institutions. Global index provider Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) warned the Indonesian capital market by freezing rebalancing or stock adjustments, announced at the end of January.
Global credit rating agency Moody's Investor Service also cut Indonesia's debt rating outlook from stable to negative on February 5th. One reason cited was foreign investor concerns about policy uncertainty.
Moody's also highlighted fiscal pressures resulting from the expansion of programs such as the Free Nutritional Meals program. Furthermore, the formation of Danantara, which is considered to have created uncertainty regarding its funding, governance, and investment priorities, is because Danantara manages assets of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) exceeding US$900 billion, or approximately 60 percent of the 2025 gross domestic product.
