TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The name of Supreme Audit Board (BPK) Member I Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana resurfaced at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. On that day, former Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate-General of Customs, Rizal Fadillah, stood trial as a defendant in a bribery case involving imported goods.

A screen in the courtroom displayed a photograph of a WhatsApp account labeled “John Nyoman BPK BR.” Prosecutors had previously claimed that the screenshot had been extracted from Rizal’s mobile phone.

The name “John” was believed to refer to John Field, the importer behind Blueray Cargo. Field had earlier been sentenced to two years in prison and fined Rp300 million (around US$16,600) by the Jakarta Corruption Court after being found guilty of bribing Customs officials. Prosecutors said Rizal communicated extensively with John in August 2025.

Rizal disputed the evidence. He questioned the authenticity of the conversation. “I doubt whether this is original or not,” he told the panel of judges.

Nyoman’s name first surfaced during the Customs bribery trial on Friday, June 12, 2026. At the time, John Field was still standing trial as a defendant. Prosecutors questioned him about how he first became acquainted with Rizal Fadillah. John is the Commissioner of Torion Express Indonesia, the owner of the Blueray Cargo trademark. Rizal, meanwhile, served as Director of Enforcement and Investigation at Customs Directorate-General.
