TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Hanoi government in Vietnam has announced plans to expand public services across the city by setting up mobile service offices and service posts in residential areas, supermarkets, and suburban districts.
According to Xinhua, as quoted by Antara on Thursday, September 25, 2025, the initiative aims to improve access for workers, elderly citizens, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
To carry out the plan, old buses and electric vehicles will be converted into mobile service offices. Each vehicle will be equipped with computers, printers, scanners, and internet connectivity, enabling residents to create electronic identification accounts, submit online applications, digitize documents, make payments, and check the status of applications on the spot.
In addition, fixed public service posts will be established in urban centers and large supermarkets. These posts will feature multilingual AI assistants designed to help elderly citizens and people with disabilities navigate digital services more easily.
For residential neighborhoods, the service posts will be located in cultural centers, health service centers, or community centers.
To better serve working residents, they will operate during evenings and weekends and provide on-site staff assistance, state media reported.
