TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The gold prices from PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk., also known as Antam, reached Rp2,570,000 per gram as of today. According to the Logam Mulia website, the price of gold has decreased by Rp14,000 from yesterday's closing price of Rp2,584,000 per gram.
Meanwhile, the buyback price for Antam gold today is Rp2,426,000 per gram, compared to Rp2,440,000 yesterday. Any buyback transaction with a value above Rp10 million will be subject to the 22nd Article income tax (PPh).
"This 22nd Article PPh will be deducted directly from the total transaction value at the time of the buyback," quoted from the official Logam Mulia site on Thursday, January 8, 2025.
According to Gold Price, the world gold price decreased by 0.94 percent per ounce today. The current price is recorded at US$4,443.51 - 4,443.78 per troy ounce, or around Rp74 million.
Director of PT Traze Andalan Futures Ibrahim Assuaibi stated that geopolitical tensions this year are expected to support the rise in gold prices. Furthermore, the United States' invasion of Venezuela and the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro on charges of drug trafficking have contributed to this. Additionally, the market expects two interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve this year. "This will keep gold prices around their highest records," he said in a written statement on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
