TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, as confirmed by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
"In Davos, Switzerland, the Head of State will deliver a keynote speech at the World Economic Forum," Teddy wrote in the Cabinet Secretariat's official Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Quoting the official World Economic Forum website, a special address by Prabowo is scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 02:00 p.m. to 02:30 p.m. local time. During the event, Prabowo is set to share the stage with the President and Chief Executive Officer of the World Economic Forum, Børge Brende.
According to Teddy, the forum is expected to be attended by 61 heads of state and government, as well as more than 1000 participants. In addition, Teddy explained that Prabowo will also engage in strategic dialogues with a number of CEOs from leading international companies.
Prabowo's attendance is part of his foreign trip to the UK and Switzerland this week. The Indonesian president departed for London today.
He departed from Halim Perdanakusuma airbase, seen off by a number of state officials, including VP Gibran Rakabuming, Deputy House Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Prior to his departure, Prabowo had a meeting with Dasco. In a photo shared by Teddy on his Instagram, Prabowo was seen sitting next to Dasco, reading a document. "At Halim, President Prabowo had a meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the House, Professor Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, regarding the latest information development report, before flying to London," Teddy said.
While in London, Prabowo is scheduled to meet with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss various strategic cooperations, including in the economic and maritime sectors.
Prabowo will also meet with King Charles III. One of the agendas is to discuss nature and environmental preservation, as well as elephant conservation. Teddy stated that the meeting will be held together with several other global philanthropy figures.
