TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chairperson of Projo (a group of supporters of former President Jokowi), Budi Arie Setiadi, has confirmed that he recently met with Jokowi. He revealed that the meeting discussed the establishment of a new political party, 'Super Tbk'.
"The 'Super Tbk' party. A party of the people, by the people, for the people," said Budi at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
However, the Minister of Cooperatives refrained from providing details on the formation of this new party. He only smiled and asked the media to draw their own conclusions.
"Just interpret it yourselves," he said.
Budi Arie previously visited Jokowi's residence in Sumber Village, Banjarsari District, Solo City, Central Java, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
The meeting between Budi Arie and Jokowi took place in private inside the residence of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's father.
At that time, the content of their conversation remained undisclosed. Budi Arie declined to be interviewed. Jokowi, on the other hand, said the meeting was just a regular social visit.
Jokowi denied that any specific discussions had occurred during his meeting with Budi Arie. According to him, Budi Arie's visit was similar to other social calls he receives.
