TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The American tech giant, Apple Inc., introduced several new features and systems in June 2025, which are applicable across all devices, including the iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Apple Watch.
The updates are aimed at improving the comfort and experience of its users. These optimizations will also shape a much better environment for Apple's devices.
As reported on their official page, here are a series of updates for Apple's products this month:
1. Software Design Updates
The first development is the new software design on Apple devices' screens. Introducing Liquid Glass, the new material allows Apple to help users achieve a greater focus experience on content, bringing new levels of vitality to all controls, navigation, application icons, and widgets.
The software design updates are also provided to make the appearance of Apple's products much more appealing. These updated design elements apply in apps such as Camera, Photos, Safari, FaceTime, Apple Music, Apple News, and Apple Podcasts.
2. Parental Control Features for Children and Teens
To ensure the safety of children and teens in the digital space, Apple enhances parental control in device usage. These developments will help parents to easily set up security for their children's accounts and activate monitoring features.
This monitoring will be done by grouping the age range of children according to the apps used without having to provide the child's date of birth. For teens aged 13 to 17, parents can still activate monitoring features for filtering online content access, communication security, and more detailed age ratings in the App Store.
In this feature upgrade, parents can even limit app purchases and downloads made by their children and teens. Not only that, parents can also activate tracking features to know the whereabouts and activities of their kids, allowing them to receive notifications if there are any suspicious activities on the device, like access to share location.
3. Apple Intelligence and iOS 26
During the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025, which took place on Monday, June 9, 2025, Apple introduced enhancements in artificial intelligence through the launch of iOS 26, available for free in the fall of 2025.
iOS 26 will begin testing in July 2025 in the Apple Beta Software Program. These updates will offer improved automatic call screening in the Phone app and customizable backgrounds in the Messages app. Users of the Messages or iMe app can also use the Polling feature in group messages, where Apple Intelligence can provide automatic polling suggestions.
iOS 26 can be enjoyed by users of iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 pro, and 13 pro max, iPhone 12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Mac, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11, Pro max, and the second-generation iPhone SE.
On the other hand, Apple's artificial intelligence features can only be enjoyed by users of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all models of the iPhone 16.
