TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Donald Trump's family business, The Trump Organization, has unveiled its newest venture, the "all-American" T1 Phone. The sleek, gold-coated phone features a rear camera design similar to Apple's iPhone, but with a wider gap between the cameras.
"Trump Mobile is going to change the game, we’re building on the movement to put America first, and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service," said Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, Donald Trump Jr, in a written statement on Monday, June 16, 2025.
The T1 gold phone will be "proudly designed and built in the United States" by a third part
According to the promotional post on Trump.com, the T1 Phone is set to launch in August in the U.S. The product will include the T1 Mobile cellular service package called The 47 Plan.
The plan to launch the T1 Phone product became more prominent shortly after Trump imposed sweeping tariffs on countries whose products would enter the U.S. This policy has sparked a mixed bag of reactions in the international trade market.
The Trump administration also urged Apple to relocate its production base to the United States to reduce reliance on other countries. So far, the Tim Cook-led manufacturing giant often operates in Shenzhen, China.
In contrast, Trump Jr ensures the Trump Mobile operations will be based in the U.S., "because we know it’s what our customers want and deserve."
"T1 Phone Specifications"
The phone, featuring a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, also comes with a fingerprint sensor and AI Face Unlock. Its operating system uses Android 15, supported by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage—excluding additional capacity options.
The main rear camera of this phone has a 50 MP resolution, a 2 MP macro lens, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the front camera is 16 MP. The use of the T1 Phone is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging.
In terms of design, The Trump Organization has placed the T1 logo on the back of the gold-colored phone, etched with the American flag. The name Trump Mobile and the distinctive Donald Trump slogan 'Make America Great Again' will appear when the phone is turned on.
The T1 Phone is priced at US$499, with a preorder already started. Prospective buyers only need to pay a down payment of US$100.
